Josh Schwartzman

I'm an entrepreneur and world traveler focused on unlocking human potential through education. I pride myself as a human-centered developer, firmly believing that technology should improve the human experience without being the experience. I think we have a lot of power to make a better world through business - which is where I apply my creativity and passion.

I grew up in a log cabin, on a farm in the wilds of Montana. To find some more culture I went to Toronto to do a New Media BFA at Ryerson University. I then moved back West, did a bit of traveling in Asia, and decided to settle in San Francisco in 2007. I worked at my dream company, IDEO, before returning to my roots in Montana as my wife and I had our first child.

I have been programming for 20 years (I started a consulting biz at age 14), and have led teams to create websites and mobile apps for clients and for my own startups.

I am focused on education, learning and coaching, because upgrading the mind has the power to change how we think, how we interact with each other, and how we live in this world. A life-long learner, I want to empower the millions of the next generation to find meaning and happiness by doing impactful work. We can do this through helping people develop a growth mindset, empathy, compassion, self-awareness and the perseverance and support to overcome challenge.

I love to travel and meet the locals, to see what it feels like to live in a completely different culture. My passport is currently filled with stamps from these countries:

Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Fiji, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Spain, Switzerland and Thailand.
